Tiger Woods Nike Commercial with Earl Woods: December 31st, 2008

December 31, 2008 – 2:35 am

This is the most powerful advertisement I have ever seen. In fact, this shouldn’t even be a commercial. It should be an inspiration for sons throughout the world to love their fathers and to live everyday to the fullest extent. For those who have been hiding under a rock since 1997 or have no knowledge of golf whatsoever, Tiger Woods is a monsoon in the sports world. His father Earl Woods is the reason why Tiger is what he is today, but sadly, he passed away in 2006. I know this commercial is a bit old, but it is the only one that I cannot stop watching. There is a powerful message that reverberates through the body. I get chills every time I watch this.

This came to mind when I was at Edwin Watts Golf testing out the new Nike Victory Red TW forged blade irons. Though I prefer the Mizuno MP-67s, hitting the Victory Reds somehow reminded me of this commercial.

By the way, can you guys keep a little secret? I bought my dad a Nike Sumo SQ driver for his birthday. I hope he doesn’t stumble upon this blog anytime soon. :/
