October 16, 2008 – 6:07 pmAlright fellow chasers, here are some more long term value plays to add onto the long term investment post I made yesterday: Remember guys, just as I stated previously, stick with high dividend blue chips.
1) Verizon (VZ): Trading at 10.5x forward earnings with a 6.7% dividend rate.
2) Mcdonalds (MCD): 15.2x forward earnings, beat consensus earnings estimates the past 2 quarters, cheap food and a 3.6% dividend rate.
3) Dow Chemical (DOW): 8.1x forward earnings, 6.9% dividend rate
